Dell P4317q Setup Mac Software
I just got a Dell 43' 4K monitor, P4317Q. On my Mac Pro, it shows 3,840x2,160 resolution. But on the monitor, it shows only 2160p. The text on the monitor is not sharp either. Previously, I had a Philips 40' 4K monitor. Premiere editing software for mac. It showed 3,840x2,160 on both sides.

What should I do to increase the resolution on the Dell monitor? I use a DisplayPort to mini-DisplayPort cable to connect them. I switched to a HDMI cable and the problem is still the same.
My Mac Pro also connects to 2 Dell 1,920x1,200 monitors. These two monitors have worked fine. Any pointer on how to fix the 4K monitor problems would be greatly appreciated.
