Mac Os Extended Journaled On Pc

Hey guys I have asked about formatting external HDDs from NTFS to FAT32 so i can switch and backup between my WINDOWS machine and my Mac but I have another question.
I managed to format my external HDD to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) but my question is, will i be able to read / wrtie to it on my WINDOWS machine?
Or will I have to make it FAT32 to be able to switch between?
*confused*
thanks!
